EICR Electrical Installation Condition Reporting for Home Buyers and Landlords

The NICEIC EICR certificate remains valid for up to 5 years, giving you peace of mind.
Since 1st July 2020, it became mandatory for all Landlords to have regular Electrical Installation Condition Reports carried out on ALL let residential properties. Initially, these must be conducted every 5 years or change of tenancy. The certificate will remain current for a period of five years from the date of the inspection.
Periodic Electrical Inspections or Electrical Installation Condition Reporting and Certification
Under the British Standard 7671, all electrical installations must be tested periodically so as to ensure that the electrical wiring and associated components are in a serviceable condition, fit for purpose and above all, safe. In 1989 the Electricity at Work Regulations were introduced into the United Kingdom, placing a legal obligation upon companies and public service facilities to establish a programme of regular maintenance to include an inspection, testing and certification programme on-site and to keep records of all testing carried out.
